There is a small Reading Room that offers a number of classes and community activities, there is also a Welsh-medium primary school. The nearby village of Dryslwyn with it's own shop and post office is situated on the A40 trunk road approximately mid way between the towns of Llandeilo, with its range of independent shops, vibrant pubs, restaurants, delis and butchers, and the County and market town of Carmarthen. A regular bus service running between these two towns has a stop within walking distance to the property.
The property enjoys easy access to the M4 motorway allowing access to Swansea, Cardiff and the rest of the UK. Steeped in local history nearby castles include Dryslwyn, and Carreg Cennen with Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales on the doorstep.
